I enjoy being single... I really do...
I'm young, learning, and have a lot of dreams for the future.
However, it is difficult to keep that mentality 100% of the time...
I recently watched Fame ...
it was pretty entertaining (I love musicals!)...
Like your typical movie, there's a couple (in high school though) that breaks up and gets back together and love conquers all... That definitely pulled some heart strings.
However, the media and society needs to back off on the idea that love is made up of two halves...
That one person "completes" the other...
It's suppose to be two whole individuals (with their own lives and interests) that happen to be together.. who happen to experience life together .... happily
That one person should complement the other
Like PB & J... each are good on their own...
PB can be eaten with chocolate... bananas... pretzels...
J can be eaten with cake... crumpets... crackers...
But when they're together they're great! It doesn't mean that from now on I will only eat PB or J with just PB&J sandwiches.. they have other parts of their lives to live....
Just a thought that has been bothering me for awhile.
What do you think about it?
Cheers,
Alice
Haha I agree. Love itself doesn't do much. But different things for different people, I guess.
