Current Loves

I'm getting worse as this school year continues with my blogging. Sorries!! :(

1. I have more purses from the Salvation Army... haha I have a lot of purses now.. They both seem very Urban Outfitters-esque.

2. I was recently hit with an inspiration to paint... so expect to see a wave of new art!

3. Unexpected and interesting phone calls (that are good, of course)

4. My Acer computer :) It's a cutie

5. Erykah Badu Green Eye

6. Naps after a long day of classes

7. Dirty Dancing... Rest easy Patrick Swayze

8. My horoscope.. I'm amused

There's no perfect formula for finding an ideal relationship. Sometimes you just have to throw yourself in and try dating different kinds of people before you find the best match. Be open to all types.

Current Loves / Still Sick

Greetings world....

I've been in isolation for .... 4 days!!! I came down with the flu and they made me stay in my room until I get better. You would think I would have the time to write more blogs.. however I haven't been able to stay up to long. Right now I'm feeling much better... still a cough, a headache, and stuffy nose... fever almost gone... anyways here are my current loves that I've realized (some are repeats from before).

1. MY FRIENDS!!!!! Jonathan, Terence, Marc, Sam, John, Senay... and oh so many more!! for taking care of me while I'm sick.. for bringing me food... sending me their get well wishes... I just love them!!!!!

2. My Brita filter - yay for saving the environment

3. Facebook, blogs, and instant messaging - without them I would be sooo alone.

4. Online shopping - without them, I wouldn't have satisfied my weekly shopping urge (I didnt buy anything though .. props to me!)

5. Entourage!! - great show.. I love Vince, E, Turtle, and Drama... they have the lifestyle that I would love to have.

6. Hand sanitzer, Kleenexes and cough drops

7. My sick playlist - If I have a headache I chill to Iron and Wine.

If I'm awake, upbeat and just laying there Lily Allen and Kate Nash.

If I'm awake, still tired, and can't go back to sleep Erykah Badu.

8. Not having to worry about what I'm wearing because I'm in isolation haha It's a nice break but I'm ready to be dressed up.

9. My purchase from Salvation Army from a while back for only $3

10. Getting better - I'm ready to hit the ground running

Patience

I will be getting my camera today... I have new paintings... new purses... new stuff that I want to blog about... So please sit tight because Alice's adventures will continue soon enough. Until then I've been listening to Kate Nash... I adore her album because it's just so humorous. I enjoy "Shit song" and "Nicest thing" Both on different levels of appreciation of course. But here's a video of her doing a cover.

Good dull day/Current Loves

So nothing exciting really happened to me today BUT I feel like I'm on a high of some sort... I was just walking around campus and I couldn't help but smile... people around me probably thought I was silly but who cares... I'm happy :)

Considering that I'm not sure what's making me so happy, it's tough trying to put a list together of what I current love right now... but I'll try.

1. Professors that are on the same teaching wavelength I am on.

2. the cover of Michael Jackson's Beat it done by Fall out boy (I love the guitar in the middle) and

3. Guitar Hero

4. Finding things that I thought were long gone

5. Compliments on my paintings (they keep me going)

6. Regular dinners with my friends

7. Knowing that people close to me are doing amazing things with their lives

8. This flask I got from Urban Outfitters on sale (it says "You will be hungry again in one hour... in bed")

9. Looking at my old paintings and remembering the reasoning for painting it.

10. New opportunities

Just been busy

Greetings everyone,

It's been a couple days since my last post. I've just been painting and working. I've decided to paint my thoughts out more often. You will see new paintings on here soon.... hopefully next week.

Technology Cleaning continues

I think it's been 5 days of being phone-free. With this liberating feeling, I've shopped, worked, and painted without any interruptions. It's been great! The only problem was that I kept asking other people what time it was. So I went to Target and bought myself a good old-fashion watch. I haven't worn a watch in possibly 7 years. I forgot how nifty the darn thing is. I hope people continue to wear them because it's just a simple technology that does its job.

I also came upon this article about a young boy who decided to try to use a Walkman instead of an Ipod for a day. I was very amused becauseI do remember the good days of lugging around all of my CD's and audio cassettes with my walkman and CD player. I also remember being really frustrated that I forgot my NSYNC CD at home when I could be listening to it on the bus for a field trip. (NSYNC was my very first CD ^_^ haha good times)

Here are my new faves of the week. (This will be my Monday postings)

1. Planter's select of almonds, cashews, and pecans. The BEST mix of nuts.... (haha mixed nuts... oh Connie).

2. Salvation Army - such a good cause and so many bargains!!!

3. Emily Schuman's outfit- The dress was only $10! I love the texture of the sandals.. the frill on the dress.. the gorgeous bag and the studded details on the belt. Just a great outfit! So jealous...

4. Otis Redding's Try a Little Tenderness - Especially in Pretty in Pink with Duckie (I've always loved this song.. not a current love but a forever one haha)
